USF War Memorial Gymnasium
This redesign of the USF War Memorial Gymnasium was part of a phased renovation and modernization of the athletic facility's support spaces and public areas. It was intended to improve the coaches' and athletes' spaces, enhance the fan experience, and reflect a renewed enthusiasm and support for athletics among the alumni. The proposed design features many upgrades including a new entry plaza and vestibule, new administrative and coaches offices, classrooms and conference rooms. Also, a programming effort revealed the need to re-design public spaces surrounding the court area to provide clear circulation for guests, and allow easier access to new concessions at the North and South lobbies. The project also consisted of arena seating upgrades, an accessibility review and upgrades of the bathrooms. In addition, a VIP hospitality suite was proposed to overlook the basketball court.
