Huntsman Architectural Group

UC Santa Cruz Monterey Institute of International Studies
To assist University of California Santa Cruz in its consideration of acquiring the Monterey Institute of International Studies, Huntsman Architectural Group led a multi-discipline team of consultants in a due diligence study of more than 25 residential and commercial buildings on the four-block urban campus. The team evaluated existing building conditions, code conformance and building deficiencies in regard to architectural, structural, roofing and waterproofing, civil, geotechnical, hazardous material, elevator, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire/life safety systems and disciplines. Huntsman then developed a list of general code compliance upgrades for budget estimating, and prepared an executive summary narrative and report for UC Santa Cruz' future funding efforts.
