Formerly the campus dining facility for AT&T, the circular building was
transformed into leasing and corporate offices for Sunset Development, the owner and operator of Bishop Ranch in San Ramon. The offices serve a staff of 50 who oversee the development, tenancy, construction, facility operations, and maintenance of the 6-million square foot office park. The focal point of Sunset’s headquarters is the inner ring of the building known as the gallery which houses a scaled model of the campus, large-scale graphic maps, and historic Sunset memorabilia. Huntsman repurposed and infilled the building’s former atrium to create the exhibit space housing the new gallery. Access to interior work zones and outer private offices are made at multiple entry points along the gallery. The next ring houses conference and meeting rooms, interior offices, and support space for amenities and filing.
Conference and exhibit space feature the new City Center development, a 350,000 square foot mixed-use project being designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, whose models and drawings are displayed in custom millwork outfitting the interior rooms. Maximizing the access of daylight and views to the surrounding lagoon, the outer ring holds the majority of offices and open workstations.
