Skip Soskin Retires
After a 52-year career in the architecture profession, George "Skip" Soskin, NCARB, LEED AP, has left the proverbial building to enter retirement. Having joined Huntsman Architectural Group in 2002, Skip was a consummate and enthusiastic practitioner, project manager, and mentor, providing expert guidance on building systems and construction methodologies. A registered Architect in nine states, Skip led many of Huntsman's in-house quality assurance and technical training programs. His decades-long client partnerships included Boston Properties, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America, among many others.
Skip was an active member of BOMA San Francisco, notably serving on the Codes & Regulation Committee, where he monitored trends in code enforcement that affect commercial real estate. Skip was named BOMA Associate Member of the Year in 2011. His commitment to the design profession continued as an instructor at UC Berkeley Extension's Department of Interior Design and Interior Architecture.
"Skip's dedication and expertise has been invaluable to our company, particularly as a mentor to new design professionals discovering their careers in architecture and design," shares Huntsman's President and CEO, Sascha Wagner. "Although his presence and leadership will be sorely missed, we wish him health, happiness, and a lot of much-needed relaxation!"
