To address San Francisco’s significant housing shortage and promote mixed-use neighborhoods, office-to-condominium conversion projects are part of the solution. Huntsman worked closely with the developer and local agencies to convert this historic landmark high-rise into one-hundred and seven residences in the heart of the city’s business district.

A seismic retrofit and complete renovation of the building's interior and building systems were required for its new use. Residences with contemporary interiors range from junior one-bedroom to two-bedroom-plus in size. Huntsman designed a new penthouse level addition of four premium units along with common outdoor space for all residents. Sensitive to scale and context, the project received full support from the San Francisco Urban Research and Planning Institute, San Francisco Heritage, and the Landmarks Commission.
