As a part of a repositioning strategy for the property, the new tenant lounge at 444 N. Michigan Avenue is a destination focused on a sense of community. The design language for the building’s public areas is rooted in hospitality and focuses on a welcoming experience from “street to suite”.

In the lounge, movement and warmth are emphasized through curvilinear geometry, lighting, and natural materials, creating an engaging space for visitors. Intentionally playful and dynamic, the atmosphere is fed by energy from the bustling street below. Floor-to-ceiling views and seating on the window line bring occupants even closer to the action.

A collection of design moments work cohesively to create a landscape of choice for the occupants. The ceiling design defines different activity zones: A lounge, conference center, game area, and curved bar serving an array of beverages. Tenants can also choose from seating types varying in height and style – from a rocking chair to a giant sofa - to find the most comfortable space for their needs.

Various lighting levels support different moods and activities. Adjacent to the lounge, a wellness room suite is available to any tenant seeking privacy away from the office. Pool, shuffleboard, and a selection of board games provide entertainment options, while carefully selected finishing touches including graphic wall coverings and neon signage add to the friendly atmosphere.
