This investment and research firm sought to eschew traditional planning concepts linked to the financial service industry. To share daylight and views of the Financial District, analyst offices were shifted away from the building exterior and fitted with full height glass fronts. Open workstation environments are augmented with team collaboration spaces and phone rooms. The building corners contain huddle spaces and meeting rooms, allowing the “corner office” to be a space utilized by all.

The building’s unique side-loaded core – and the resulting efficient floor plates - allowed the program to fit on two consecutive floors joined by a dramatic stair and wood clad feature wall which serves as a reception backdrop. A graphic wallcovering depicting the stylized composition of international currency adorns both ends of the communal gathering space and reinforces the client’s new brand identity.
