Brita is a LEED accredited professional and licensed architect with 15 years of experience in the architecture and interior design industry. She has worked on large- and small-scale projects for clients in a variety of sectors including workplace, education, residential, and building repositioning. Her depth of expertise as a project manager, designer, and architect offers her a unique perspective on both the creative and construction process. Brita values partnership and collaboration across disciplines which she believes is fundamental to evolving the A&D industry toward more sustainable practices. She has published several peer-reviewed papers on urban design and socioeconomic disparity and has presented at conferences internationally. Her current research explores sustainability, systems philosophy, and the circular economy in the context of architectural practice and pedagogy. Brita holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati and is also a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute.
