Knobbe Martens
Knobbe Martens represents one of the Country’s leading intellectual property law firms. When its San Francisco office was nearing its lease expiration at One Sansome Street, the firm looked at the opportunity to expand its footprint while examining workplace concepts that appropriately reflect its position in the marketplace. The building search identified 333 Bush as an ideal location to meet the program requirements and centrally locate Knobbe Martens in the heart of the financial district. As part of the program criteria, the client realized the need for a central conferencing area that the San Francisco office could use to connect with its seven other offices as well as with its technology client base in Silicon Valley. The design team organized the office entry with reception, lobby, and conference room as the focal point; sliding pocket doors open the space for client engagements and public events. Aiming for a clean and streamlined interior, the design incorporates the use of neutral colors in its materials such as stone flooring, full height glazing for project rooms, and frameless strip lighting to create a look reflective of the firm’s high tech relationships.
