Kaiser Ordway
Huntsman has completed several tenant improvements of multiple floors for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan at the Ordway Building (One Kaiser Plaza). Our work ranges from upgrades of individual suites to full build-outs, including an executive board room and offices for the CFO on Floor 27 and renovations of Floors 4, 8, 19, and 21. We have worked on merging Kaiser’s workplace standards with Ordway Building standards to bring continuity to the user groups, who are being relocated between this building and the nearby Kaiser Center at 300 Lakeside Drive.

Recently, Huntsman completed a full floor renovation of the 25th and 26th floors. The project began with a scoping study to clarify program requirements and estimate costs. The client’s goal was to adopt more alternative workplace strategies in line with what Huntsman had proposed and developed for the Kaiser IThrive prototype and similarly at the Kaiser Pleasanton Technology Campus. Existing private offices were converted to open work neighborhoods and collaborative environments, increasing the headcount on each floor by 30%. Being the first time the building had a full floor renovation of this scope, the project triggered abatement within the interior walls and ceilings. Final construction costs came in under the projected budget by more than 10%.
