Huntsman’s ongoing commitment to a variety of charitable activities and organizations is in perfect alignment with our company’s mission to improve the human experience. We seek to have an impact in our local communities, both through our design work and through the direct involvement of our staff. Our collective volunteer efforts and contributions have focused on fundraising, improvement of physical environments, and on simply lending a hand where needed. Most importantly, our staff have influenced and touched the lives of many individuals served.
Hosted by IIDA San Francisco, Scene Local is an annual event where local designers partner with local manufacturers to create experiential “scenes - from upstairs / downstairs to outdoors, from the luxurious to the sparse.” In 2017, Huntsman partnered with GCI Construction, Teknion, Humanscale, Ercol, Studio Roeper, Fireclay Tile, Mannington Commercial, Martin Sign Company and Pablo to create Exploring the California Redwoods. All proceeds from the event benefitted the Youth Art Exchange.
In 2017 Huntsman participated in Chairity, a design competition where teams are tasked to give an old chair a new life. The new creations are auctioned off with all proceeds benefiting Project Color Corps. Our design team re-envisioned this year's entry into a bar cart named Brass Monkey.
