What You Will Do

  • Co-lead, develop, and execute comprehensive and code-compliant design efforts for a variety of project types

  • Take a lead role in programming client needs, conceptual design, space planning, and design development (participate / lead in-person and virtual meetings)

  • Prepare and co-lead (in-person and virtual) client presentations

  • Participate during all phases of project delivery and design within project parameters (participate / lead in-person and virtual meetings at all phases)

  • Clearly communicate design concepts via sketches, 3D models and color renderings

  • Interface (in-person and virtually) directly with clients, product representatives, furniture dealers, fabricators, multidisciplinary consultants, and general contractors

  • Perform in-person field surveys and evaluate existing interior space

  • Research, recommend, and specify appropriate finishes, fixtures, and furniture

  • Prepare project design documentation and participate in execution of construction documents including reflected ceiling plans and lighting layouts

  • Incorporate technical requirements including audio/video, acoustics, power, and data systems into the design

  • Assist in various construction administration tasks, including in-person site visits

  • Other related duties as assigned

Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ownership and accountability for project- and firm-wide success

  • Strong design creativity, aptitude, competence, and experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

  • Thorough understanding of interior architectural concepts, spatial relationships, fundamental knowledge of building systems, and workplace concepts

  • Ability to research design - including trends, strategies, and related technologies

  • Fundamental understanding of corporate commercial real estate objectives is a plus

  • Knowledge and experience in all phases of interior design / architectural project delivery

  • Working knowledge of state and local building and fire codes related to interior environments, including accessibility are a must

  • Extensive knowledge of CDs and procedures

  • Ability to work in-person in low-, mid-, and high-rise buildings on any floor

  • Experience working in a Citrix environment is highly desired

  • Advanced Autodesk Revit and Enscape skills are a must

  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) skills are a must

  • Experience with Mural collaboration platform is highly desired

  • Office 365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills are a must

  • Hand sketching and conceptual drawing/modeling skills are a plus

  • Sustainable design experience, with a preference for hands-on LEED and/or WELL project participation

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience working on interior design and/or architectural projects, with a primary focus on design for workplaces, commercial interiors, and tenant improvement projects

  • Interior Design Certification and WELL and/or LEED Accreditation strongly preferred

  • Candidates must have legal working status in the U.S. as Huntsman will not be sponsoring work visas at this time

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks

  • Compensation is based on relevant experience and qualifications. Salary for this role is estimated between $90,000 to $105,000 plus benefits
