Budgets, schedules, code compliance, and constructability all factor into turning a vision into an inspiring and functional interior space. Architectural Designers manage the complex process of developing documents, obtaining agency approvals, and coordinating with expanded project teams. We work as partners with a host of engineers, specialty consultants, product manufacturers, builders, and other experts to deliver technically complex, cutting-edge solutions that are well designed, buildable, and have lasting value. What You Will Do

  • Participate during all phases of project delivery and design within project parameters

  • Collaborate with Project Designers to refine and develop buildable solutions

  • Develop and coordinate technical documentation, including Construction Documents for a variety of project types

  • Actively participate in document review and quality assurance / quality control process (availability to participate at in-person meetings)

  • Perform in-person field surveys (including code compliance) and evaluate existing interior space

  • Assist with the research, recommendation, and specification of appropriate materials, finishes, fixtures, equipment, hardware and other components

  • Develop reflected ceiling and lighting plans

  • Incorporate technical requirements including audio/video, acoustics, power, and data systems into the design and documents

  • Interface (in-person and virtually) with product representatives, fabricators, multidisciplinary consultants, general contractors, and agencies

  • Assist in the coordination of agency approvals (in-person and virtually)

  • Assist Project Managers / Project Architects in various construction administration tasks, including in-person jobsite visits

  • Assist Project Architect in managing small project teams

  • Other related duties as assigned

Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ownership and accountability for project and firm-wide success

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative team-based environment

  • Knowledge and experience in all phases of interior design / architectural project delivery, including construction administration

  • Thorough understanding of interior architectural concepts, spatial relationships, and fundamental knowledge of building systems

  • Fundamental understanding of detailing, materials, specification, and construction documentation for commercial interiors

  • Knowledge of state and local building and fire codes related to interior environments, including accessibility is a must

  • Experience working in a Citrix environment is highly desired

  • Advanced Autodesk Revit and Enscape skills are a must

  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) skills are a must

  • Experience with Mural collaboration platform is highly desired

  • Office 365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills are a must

  • Hand sketching and conceptual drawing/modeling skills are a plus

  • Sustainable design experience, with a preference for hands-on LEED and/or WELL project participation

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture

  • Minimum 4-7 years of experience working on interior design and/or architectural projects, with a primary focus on design for workplaces, commercial interiors, and tenant improvement projects

  • Architectural licensure and WELL and/or LEED Accreditation strongly preferred

  • Candidates must have legal working status in the U.S. as Huntsman will not be sponsoring work visas at this time

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks

  • Compensation is based on relevant experience and qualifications. Salary for this role is estimated between $85,000 to $105,000 plus benefits
