When Huntsman required larger offices, the firm selected a single 20,000 square foot floor at 50 California Street. The open plan facilitated circulation between private and public functions and provided an opportunity for the firm to showcase its sustainable design. Located near the centralized elevator lobby, the reception area leads clients and visitors to several conference rooms, followed by a guest lounge and resource library for new products, code information and material samples and displays. From here, meeting rooms and principal offices anchor the open production area, allowing natural daylighting to filter through frameless glass walls from these private spaces. Choices in furniture, fabric, and paint all coordinate with the firm’s newly adapted corporate identity and branding.
