David C. Link, IIDA CID
Senior Project Manager/Designer
David Link, IIDA CID has joined Huntsman Architectural Group as a Senior Project Manager and Designer. He brings more than twenty years of experience in the design and management of commercial interior projects for Fortune 100 companies. David's focus has been on assisting corporate clients who are implementing strategic growth plans in their real estate and helping them understand the impact of design and construction in meeting business and operational goals.
The success of this strategy lead to a six-year assignment where David served as Manager of Corporate Design and Construction for PeopleSoft, Inc. He was responsible for managing design and construction for more than 1,500,000 square feet of new office space in six buildings on the Pleasanton campus. Additionally, David was responsible for managing capital construction and design projects for all PeopleSoft corporate office facilities in Northern California.
Prior to his role in facilities design and construction, David worked for interior design firms in San Francisco and Seattle specializing in corporate office interiors, healthcare facilities and academic campuses. His responsibilities included the planning and design leadership in all phases of project delivery from client development through programming, conceptual design presentations, design development, project management to construction administration. His clients include Comerica, Piper Jaffray, Dow Jones, Apple, Autodesk, Hitachi, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, UCSF Mt. Zion Hospital, Lawrence Livermore Laboratories, University of Washington as well as PeopleSoft.
David's design for Apple's Torre 2 facility in Cupertino won an Honor Award from the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the AIA. A previous project for Carpenter's Pension Trust Fund Headquarters in Oakland won an AIA East Bay Merit Award for Design Excellence. David holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Washington in Seattle. He is both NCIDQ and CCIDC certified and is a professional member of the International Interior Design Association.
