When expanding into New York, financial investment software company Fidessa challenged Huntsman to retain much of its UK-based headquarters office planning philosophy: a European influenced open office space design. Within this alternative workplace scenario, conference and server rooms make up the only isolated spaces, while most of the floor plan relies on flexibly to encourage and accommodate collaborative workstyles. Considering the company’s rapid rate of growth, the design offers a barrier free workplace lending itself to inexpensive and efficient modifications. The openness and expansiveness of the floors, from the core to the arced glass facade of the building, is further enhanced by spectacular views over New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty.
